It’s so much easier to break good news than it is to drop bad news, so I’m happy to announce that we are able to significantly drop the registration price for our March 16th Las Vegas Throwdown. Due to increased support from current sponsors, combined with the addition of several new sponsors means the cost of the event is drastically reduced for us.
Our original plan was to simply pass this money on to the Veterans Charity Ride (VCR), but after talking with people at various other events, we think a lower entry price will get far more riders to join up. It’s not just about raising money for a charity: it’s also about raising awareness of the charity and its mission. The more people who come, the more people who learn about the VCR.
Right now, thanks to a sponsorship with Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys, our $1,000 cash prize for first place is covered. Biltwell has doubled the second place prize from $250 to a $500 gift card. Third place will be a choice between some items provided by Monster Energy (more on that soon). With this and other support, 100% of the net proceeds will go directly to the VCR.
Additionally, the silent auction happening during the ride will still send 100% gross proceeds to VCR. Additional items have been donated by Kaqun Wellness and Liberty Sport. Main Street Moto is also going to donate some cool stuff and help us promote the event locally. In turn we are going to give them some free entries to give away (ask them for details).
To top it all off, Tito’s Vodka has come onboard with Hogs and Heifers Saloon for a promotion, allowing for drink specials that will donate additional money to the VCR.
Discount Information
Early bird registration pricing remains $69 but we have increased the available number to 100 registrations. Additionally, you can use the code ” CallRussBrown ” to get $30 off, dropping the price to $39! For those who are riding two-up, you can get $10 off by using the code ” 2up4ever ” during checkout. Early Bird tickets are only available until 11pm on February 16th so don’t delay. For those who have already bought tickets, remember you can refund your tickets so long as you do so before February 16. Then simply buy new tickets with the codes above to take advantage of the discount pricing.
Remember, this ain’t no poker run. This ride is a scavenger hunt featuring approximately 80 waypoints. Riders will have four hours to ride through these points, earning between 250 and 1,000 points for each. It will be a chance to learn about off-beat locations and local history, while also seeing the outlying beauty of the Nevada desert and off course hitting some of the staple landmarks of the area.
Remember to like our Facebook page and Instagram account to keep updated, or just sign up for our mailing list to get important info sent directly to you. We hope to announce another partnership in the next week, and we will begin hinting at waypoint locations through our social media. We will also be adding some tips about how to effectively use the REVER app to accurately track your ride through our email list.
